Emilie Young

Dr. Young grew up in East China Michigan and attended North Carolina State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. She then attended veterinary school in the Caribbean at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she worked for a small animal practice in the suburbs of Chicago for 6 years before moving back to Michigan to be closer to family. She is very passionate about preventative care, surgery, dentistry, and geriatric care. Dr. Young prides herself on treating your pet as she would her own and partnering with you around your pet's care. Dr. Young lives in an 1890s farmhouse in Memphis with her husband, daughter, and son as well as a cat, Batman, a cocker spaniel named Dale, seven chickens, a beta fish and a jumping spider named Creepy Crawly Snugglebug. During her free time, she enjoys camping, scuba diving, riding 4 wheelers, reading with her daughter and son, bonfires, and spending time with family and friends.
